When Vitaly came to the United States he had no idea that he would end up in a relationship so quickly. When he was in New York, he got around quite a bit, an attractive man with an accent goes far in a place like New York City. He left New York City quickly because he didn’t have the money to stay there. Encore City gave Vitaly more than just a new place to start; it gave him Haven Marie Woods. She was something special to him the day he met her things started to change. That didn’t mean anything to him at the time more than that maybe he would be in love with some girl. Haven Marie Woods turned into that some girl that he was in love with, and he was as stupid about it as every one of his guy friends were about their girlfriends.
She was nineteen years old and he was twenty two years old. He was supposed to think she was young, wasn’t he? But he didn’t, it didn’t matter to him that she was nineteen; it didn’t bother him the way it did his friends. He was stupid, just like he still was now, but out of the relationship he knew he was a bit smarter and more level headed. They were together for a year when they thought, hey why don’t we live together? Of course they thought it was a great idea, and they bought a house together. It didn’t take anything more than a year in that house together to screw them up.
Two years after he became a complete idiot for her, here he was with boxes in the back of his truck as he walked in and out of the house he once shared with her moving his shit out of it. He tried to avoid looking at her because truth be told he didn’t feel like he really could. He was ashamed in a way but at the same time he was thankful what happened to them had happened. Maybe it was horrible to think but he was thankful he had done what he did. At least it saved him the trouble of a long drawn out relationship followed by a long drawn out break up, or even at worst, divorce.
It was always after a break up that Vitaly thought that the idea of relationships was ridiculous; however in one; he was probably the most chivalrous man you could find. Blame it on the way he was raised and where he was raised. Well maybe being raised in Russia wouldn’t make him chivalrous at all but his mother and father sure made sure he understood how a woman should be treated. They made sure that he cared about women, and that they were treated highly. He was taught to respect women and to love women. He was taught to shower them with gifts, and to make them feel loved, and of course, that was just what Vitaly did. But like every other man, he had many flaws.
His biggest flaw came at the very end of their relationship and that was his incapability of saying no to a woman while he was wasted. Truth be told, he wasn’t even wasted, but it was better for everyone else to think he was. He wasn’t wasted at all when he did what he had done; he did it consciously and enjoyed every second of it. He cheated on Haven, and he didn’t regret it very much, he did regret hurting her though. That was all he could feel sorry for, he didn’t feel sorry for the sex, or how good it was.
“I think I’ve got it all.” Vitaly said to her, looking at he finally. A small twinge of regret hit him but it was gone soon there after. He had put all the boxes of his junk into his truck and it had taken a grand total of four trips so far and now he was pouring himself a drink. “If you need help with payments or something…” Veet started but his voice trailed off, realizing he didn’t have to help her with anything anymore.

Haven was nineteen when she met Vitaly Mikhail Andreev. He was new to Encore City, hell he was new to America. He was a very attractive man, with a sexy accent. That was good enough for Haven. Her brother had never like Veet, but Haven always stuck up for him. She fell hard and fast for Veet. She loved him, even. She tried her hardest to make it work, and for a while, it actually looked like it was going to work out, maybe turn into something more, but things happen and everything sort of fell apart. Not suddenly, but slowly the relationship fell into pieces. She hoped it would be different, she hoped he wouldn't be like his friends with their relationships, and for a while , to her, it seemed like he wouldn't be, but things are never what they seem and Haven learned this the hard way. She was three years younger than him, and it didn't bother her. His friends didn't like that, but he never seemed to care. They were together for a year and decided to buy a house together. Her brother told her that was a really bad move, but Haven didn't listen. Turns out he was right. A year after they moved in together everything went to shit.
She never thought she'd see this, with any guy really. She wouldn't be the one to move in with someone until she was sure that this wouldn't happen. She had though, and she was hurt, but there was nothing she could do about it now. Haven leaned against the door frame, she watched Vitaly go back and forth taking boxes of his things out to his truck. Haven wouldn't look st his eyes, she didn't really want to. Even though this was all his fault she felt awful. She was upset about it, but she would not let it show, no matter what. She looked at the floor and kept her eyes there. How did we get here? Oh, that's right. Veet went out and got drunk and fucked some random girl. At least that was the story he was telling. Haven had been extremely pissed at him. She was really hurt, but what can ya do? She just couldn't trust him anymore and you can't have much of any sort of relationship without trust now can you?
Haven was still looking at the floor when he started talking. "Huh? Oh, alright." She willed her voice to be strong, she wouldn't let him see her hurting. She'd be strong. She watched him pour a drink for himself. She stood up off the door frame, crossed her arms, and stepped a step closer, but left plenty of room between them. He started talking about if she needed help with anything, but he trailed off and didn't finish. She finally met his eyes and a pain materialized in her chest. She spoke sort of quietly, "I think I can manage...Thanks." She wasn't really sure why she was thanking him, 'Hey thanks for cheating on me and breaking my heart?' No, she had no idea why, but she had said it.
{OOC}{Sorry it's kinda short XP}

He brought his cup to his lips and drank a little bit, running his hand through his hair. Vitaly leaned against the counter and set the cup down, looking at Haven, feeling worse and worse as he watched her try to be strong and not look hurt around him. “You don’t have to do that.” Vitaly murmured to her. “I mean, you don’t have to try and act strong… I know you’re hurt, I know you Haven…” Of course he felt terrible for the pain she felt, he just didn’t feel quite as terrible about what he had done to cause her that pain.
He knew that she said she’d be able to get along fine on her own, but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t make sure she knew he would always be there if she really found that she needed it. He pressed his lips together and that followed with a sigh. “Look, I’m just a couple minutes away. If you need anything, please just call me.” Why did he feel like this towards her? Why did he feel like he still had to keep her safe and keep a watch over her? Maybe it was the fact that she was the longest, most serious relationship he had ever had. Even if he knew this wasn’t going to be a very lasting and permanent relationship, it was important for him for two years now.
He knew that time would whether their relationship down to pieces and that they wouldn’t stand the test of the time like some couples were meant to. He knew that just a month into them living together. He started thinking that they should have gotten an apartment, not a house, but it was a year too late now.
ooc ;; so is this one, sorry it's not so great.

Haven glanced around the room before looking at Vitaly. He was running his hand through his hair. He knew her too well to fall for that, of course. Her eyes stayed on him as he spoke. She sighed a small sigh. She spoke, not trying so hard to sound strong anymore. "I know you know me, Vitaly,and you know I can't let it show even if you do know. That's just how I am." She hated just letting her pain show. She saw it as weakness, she always tried to hide it. She looked away from him now and pushed her hair out of her face. She was tired and hurt. She hugged her arms to her chest and rubbed her hands up and down her arms. She often did this in these kind of situations. It made her feel a tiny bit better for some reason. She glanced at him again then looked away.
He let out a sigh and spoke. Haven looked at him for a moment trying to process what he said. He told her if she needed him just call. Haven hesitated a moment and then softly spoke. "Vitaly, thank you, but you don't have to watch over me or anything, really, I'll be okay." She didn't want him to feel obligated to watch her, protect her or something else. She wanted to believe she didn't need him to be there for her, but she knew she wanted him to be. It hurt to think about him not being there, but Haven would have to deal. She started to wish she hadn't have said that, that she would've said 'Thank you, I will.' It was too late now though, and she couldn't do anything about it. She wished she wasn't so afraid to just let her real feelings show completely. She really wished she had seen this coming, could've done something to prevent this disaster from happening. Haven couldn't, she knew that, but it didn't stop her from wishing. This whole thing made her feel like she wasn't enough to hold a man's attention, or keep him satisfied she felt that she wasn't pretty enough. She suddenly wanted to know "Why?" She didn't sound hurt, just confused. The word slipped out before she could stop it. Dammit! She started to say nevermind don't answer, but she couldn't make herself take it back. It was time she got some answers.

It wasn’t at all like him to feel like he had to keep an eye on her. He felt like that many times during their relationship, but now why would he have to? He didn’t think there was any reason and he didn’t understand why he still felt that protective need to keep her safe. She was going to be fine, she had a house to live in, she had a job; she had the things she need that she needed to be alright, so Veet didn’t have to worry about her. He knew that…
When she asked why he wasn’t really sure he could answer, and if he could answer he was next to positive that he would give her an answer she would not want to hear. She was hurt enough; he could see that, so he knew it was best for him not to give her an answer that was honest. “I don’t know…” Vitaly whispered to her, looking at his hands. When he was around Haven it was easy for him to be ashamed of what he did to her, but when she wasn’t around it was like he didn’t even care to think about it. Like it hadn’t happened, or like it was completely acceptable.
“I better go.” Vitaly said as he picked up his cup and set it in the sink, he was thinking about washing it but the way that this had become so awkward he just wanted to get out as quickly as he could. “I-uh, well maybe I’ll see you around…?” He asked putting his hands in his pockets and shrugging a little, trying to make the question feel just a little friendlier. How could something like that be what she wanted to hear from the man that cheated on her after two years?
